Scooterland’s Introduction to Mobility Aids

Attending this Seminar will get you a certificate of attendance and garner points for your continuing professional development (CPD) requirements from our mobility engineers, who are experts in the maintenance, service, and repair of mobility equipment.
Mobility Scooter and Other Mobility Aid Equipment:
You will gain an understanding/knowledge about mobility scooters and other mobility aids, specifically concerning troubleshooting to find faults, a basic overview of what to look out for on equipment, and an understanding of the cost of servicing a variety of mobility scooters and power chairs. Also, we shall advise on battery types and charging of mobility aids.
Surveying
Scooterland’s experienced instructors will give professional input about what types of mobility equipment is suitable around the home.
Hoist
You will learn how to visually check your mobile patient lifter/hoist, and the requirement for yearly maintenance/load testing of said equipment. And gain a basic overview of what to look out for on the equipment.

- Pre-approval for conducting repairs outside of maintenance contract scope.
